By using Skano you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What the service is
Skano provides estimates of calories and macros based on the appearance of a dish and the ingredients visible in a photo. These are not laboratory measurements and may differ from actual values.
Skano is not a substitute for medical or dietetic advice. If you have a health condition or take medication, consult a professional before changing your diet.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time from the account deletion page.
Subscriptions
Monthly and annual subscriptions are available, with a free trial. The price, currency and trial length are shown in the App Store or Google Play before you confirm your purchase.
- Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled before the end of the current period. On the App Store, auto-renewal must be turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- If you do not cancel before a free trial ends, the paid subscription begins automatically.
- Cancellation is done in your store subscription settings, not inside the app.

Payments and refunds are handled directly by Apple and Google, and refund requests are subject to their policies:
Acceptable use
- Do not use the app for any unlawful purpose.
- Do not upload photos unrelated to food, or photos containing other people's personal data.
- Do not reverse-engineer the app or place artificial load on the servers.
Intellectual property
The app, its content, and its trademarks belong to Skano. Photos you upload remain yours.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". We do not warrant the accuracy of estimates, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data. In any event, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Governing law
Skano is operated by Ibrahem Zhalka, as an individual, from Israel. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and any dispute will be heard by the competent courts in Israel.
If you are a consumer resident in another country, you keep the mandatory rights given to you by the law of your own country; this clause does not remove them.
Changes
We may amend these terms and will notify you of material changes in the app or by email.
